Reflections from Juv'ae Conference 2026
Last weekend I had the privilege of attending the Juv'ae Conference on the Gold Coast, and I came home feeling inspired, motivated, and incredibly grateful to be part of such a passionate and supportive industry.
One of the biggest takeaways for me wasn't just the education, it was the people. Running your own business can sometimes feel quite isolating, so spending a weekend surrounded by like-minded nurses who genuinely want to support, encourage, and celebrate one another was something really special. The Juv'ae community is filled with talented clinicians who are committed to learning, growing, and raising the standard of patient care, and it was a privilege to be part of those conversations.

A personal highlight was listening to Rana Kennelly speak. It was a definite fan-girl moment! Her presentation was engaging, authentic, and incredibly relatable. The way she shared her knowledge with such humility and passion was inspiring, and it reminded me of the importance of always staying curious. I'll certainly be diving into more of her education and learning opportunities over the coming months.
Another standout speaker was Dennis McCurdy. His depth of knowledge, commitment to evidence-based practice, and genuine passion for education left a lasting impression. Listening to him reinforced something I strongly believe in: that learning never stops. The aesthetic industry is constantly evolving, and investing in education is one of the most important ways I can continue providing safe, effective, and thoughtful treatments for my clients.

Beyond the presentations, the conference gave us the opportunity to explore exciting new products, technologies, equipment, and treatment techniques that are shaping the future of aesthetics. I'm looking forward to spending the next few months researching what will best complement the clinic and, most importantly, deliver the greatest benefit to my clients. Any new treatment or technology introduced at By Nurse Sarah is always carefully considered to ensure it aligns with our values of safety, quality, and achieving natural, beautiful results.
Of course, no conference would be complete without the friendships that make it so memorable. A huge thank you to Mel, Nicole, and Jacinta for making the weekend so much fun. It was exhausting in the best possible way—filled with education, inspiration, plenty of laughs, and quality time with incredible women who share the same passion for this industry.
I'm so grateful for opportunities like these that allow me to continue growing both professionally and personally. Bringing new knowledge, skills, and ideas back to the clinic is one of my favourite parts of attending conferences, and I can't wait to continue implementing everything I've learnt.
